About this Forum…:
Dear members,
Our forum is hosting the Varadero International Community since the start of its predecessor, the Varadero mailinglist which dates back to early 1999.
In 2003, the mailinglist was replaced by the first Forum. This forum was replaced by the current Forum in 2007 because the current bases offered improvements towards the previous edition (which was hosted on a paid for server), and more options.
Varadero International is an open forum. We – as Admin and Moderator team – are not managing this Forum, it is the Varadero International community (You!) who are in charge.
However, there are some unwritten rules which you should keep in your mind before posting; we will moderate if postings are not complying to these items:
1.
All postings should be made in English. English is obligatory, except under ‘Basic information in other languages’. If postings are made in another language, we will contact the poster with a friendly request to change it in English.
2.
It is the members *(your)* responsibility to keep your profile updated. Your profile information should at least contain information about your nationality and the type / year of production of your Honda Varadero (YOM: Year Of Manufacturing)
3.
Postings which contain political, racial, religious or commercial outings will be deleted without notification. Memberprofiles *(SPAMMERS)* which only share topics like these, will be deleted and banned based on IP address without notification.
4.
The Forum is a base to share technical knowhow about our motorcycles. However, if technical tips & tricks endanger the safety for the rider and other traffic, you will be asked to change the content of the message.
5.
Sharing of downloads in what ever form they come, on which there is a copy-right, is NOT ADMITTED.
6.
If circumstances make it necessary, the Admin and Moderator team can always interfere, delete or moderate messages and postings done on this Forum.
7.
There is no such thing as an ‘sponsorprogramm’. The Adminteam (Amongst forum owner Ratman) has agreed, that we won’t accept any financial compensation from members or companies.
8.
If we need support, f.e. due to technical problems, new soft- or hardware, we will ask for it.
9.
Our annual meeting, the Varadero International Meeting, is based on individual participation and organized by an individual Orgateam. The Forum supports this meeting by offering a platform on which messages and information regarding this meeting can be shared. Neither the Admin-; Moderator or Orgateam can be held responsible for any personal damage(s), loss of personal items, injuries, or and (mis-) communications regarding this event.
10.
The Admin and Moderator Team can not, and will not be held responsible for the content of this Forum.
By applying membership of this forum, and posting at this forum, you understand, respect and confirm the above.

| VIM14 Booking Process |

It may be that the booking process is not clear to everyone.
I will try and list it below in a clear way:
1. Once you have been registered on the VIM14 Website (see previous topic) log in and update your profile.
User -> Profile
2. When you have done that your account on the VIM14 will be changed to allow you to make a booking.
Go to the booking section and make your choices.
VIM14 -> Accommodation -> Booking
(see previous topic for details on what to book).
3. When you have made your choices in the booking section goto the checkout.
VIM14 -> Accommodation -> Checkout
4. When you have completed the checkout you should get an email confirming your booking. You should also be able to see the details of your booking in
User -> Orders.
5. Send your payment to the account detailed in
VIM14 -> Accommodation -> How to Pay
No confirmation email = no booking.

| VIM14 2012: FAQ Bookings / Registration open from TODAY |

Friends of the Varadero International Meeting (VIM),
The registration for next years (2012) VIM14 is open from today. During December, the registration is open only for VIM veterans and members of this Forum. From January 1st 2012 the registration will open for ALL Varadero & Transalp Riders World Wide.
This time the registration process is different. Please read this message carefully how to register:
1. Send an email (from the email address that is registered in your account on the VIF (Varadero International Forum) to admin(AT)vim14.com (replace the (AT) for @ before sending) with the following data:
Your Name
Your Logon name for the VIM14 website (preferably forum nickname)
2. You will receive a reply email to the address that you sent your request from with a temporary password for the VIM14 website and a copy of the VIM14 disclaimer.
3. Log onto the VIM14 website change the temporary password you were given and complete the profile details.
Your profile details must include :
VIF (Varadero International Forum) Name
T shirt size
Guest details (as appropriate, for example passenger)
Bike details
The "Room Booking Ref" and "Personal booking Ref" can only be completed once you have submitted your booking.
4 . Once your profile details have been entered you will be sent another email and you will be eligible to reserve a booking once the booking system is open.
There are two types of booking :
Personal booking:
Required for everyone attending VIM.
You may select a Qty more than "1" in this section to make payments easier.
If you pay for more that 1 person + guest then the other people you are paying for must also have registered and, when you have received your "Personal booking Ref", must enter the booking Ref on their profile page on the VIM14 website.
Room Booking
Accommodation details (2 types of cabin and camping) are available in the booking section of the VIM14 website.
Cabins must be booked for a minimum of 2 people. There are NO single cabin/rooms available. If you require an single, the cabins are equipped with separate bedrooms which can be used individually.
Once you have booked your accommodation everyone who will be staying in your cabin or on your tent-site must enter the "room Booking Ref" on their profile page on the VIM14 website.
FAQ bookings:
A section will be created on the VIF (Varadero International Forum at www.varadero-international.com) for any questions relating to the registration/booking system (this topic). Please ask questions regarding the booking process only here or at the specified e-mail address below.
If you have any special requests for accommodation please send them to admin(AT)vim14.com (replace the (AT) for @ before sending).
